What a way to bring a rural feel into any urban space! These planters allow for beautiful trees to be added to any outside space that you feel could use a leafy addition.
These tree planters are made from naturally weather resistant larch heartwood sleepers, so do not need chemical treatments. The sleepers used are a 100mm x 200mm cross section, so extremely tough and durable for use in urban locations, and the construction uses high quality TimberLOK fastenings.
All the logs used to make the sleepers for these planters sourced locally and sustainably from the North West, milled on site, and used to design and create these planters at our Yard in Gorton. Our sourcing policy really sets us apart, as our aim is to make beneficial use of arisings that would otherwise likely not be used in an environmentally efficient manner. We want each piece of timber to be used to its best potential, and we do it!
The planters can be made to any specification (we can also make them with benches round the outside), but the one in the picture is 1.2m square (external measurements) and 0.9m high, and come with a geotextile membrane installed (not shown in the photo).
