Last month our firewood and woodchip became BSL authorised, well in advance of the Spring 2015 milestone. This means both our domestic and commercial customers are able to claim RHI for those products (within the eligibility criteria set by DECC), and we will be listed on the BSL public register as soon as it is made available. We will now be reporting quarterly to the BSL Administrator about our fuels’ embedded carbon, and the initial figures based on last year’s supply returned an outstanding 94% to 98% savings against the EU fossil fuel average.* This is well in excess of the minimum saving of 60% required to be eligible for the list.
