Making wood work

We believe a better, fairer world is possible. One where everyone’s needs are met sustainably, responsibly, and inclusively. Wood is a remarkable, genuinely renewable material, and a strong local, wood-based economy has a vital part to play in getting there.

Converting locally sourced tree work arisings into useful products sits at the heart of that economy. Our sourcing strategy and joined-up activities let us cut the region’s waste and carbon emissions, making the best use of a resource that could otherwise sit unused or go to waste.

What we’re working towards

Our objective is to benefit the community through environmentally sensitive arboricultural services, making the best possible use of all treework arisings. In practice, that means:

• Delivering expert treework and woodland management, at any scale needed
• Reducing the volume of wood going to waste across the North West
• Supplying high-quality woodfuel that balances cost, energy content, and clean air compliance
• Supplying timber and other wood products, reducing the local market’s reliance on imports
• Providing fair employment and training for local people
• Offering small treework contractors cost-effective disposal for their arisings

Our vision is simple: to be the region’s most expert and capable arboricultural contractor, reliably supplying ethical, locally-sourced woodfuel and timber at competitive rates.
