Our hardwood sawn timber planks are the ultimate in sustainability as they are made from the arisings of local treework in Manchester, generally within 50 miles of our yard, and not imported from overseas like the vast majority of other hardwoods sold in the UK.

We hold a considerable stock of high quality sawn timber at our Yard in Gorton, both kiln and air dried. We generally have timber of a variety of species, including Oak, Cherry, Lime, Ash, Beech and English Elm, but this varies greatly throughout the year. We usually have stock of a variety of thicknesses for each species as well.

We can arrange for the timber to be finished to your specification and we will deliver larger volumes straight to you. If you just want a single piece or a few pieces of wood, we suggest you come and visit us to see what we have so you can find the perfect timbers. We often find ourselves with interesting, characterful pieces of wood that would be perfect for artists and particularly for making unique, bespoke furniture pieces.

We try to ensure our prices are on a par with major local suppliers, which means you get fantastic quality timbers for a great price, especially considering its British heritage.
