Boiler and kiln update
We have been working hard to fulfill firewood orders using our new biomass-powered kiln to ensure it is bone dry. Coming soon – ultra-sustainable sawn timber, kilned without using fossil fuels, and made from Manchester trees!
Treework
Get your requests in now before nesting season takes off in earnest. We cannot do densely foliated trees (like conifers) in spring and summer, because it is too difficult to ensure there are no nests. Know that your oversize tree is going to good use – for a local sawn timber or firewood.
Landscape gardening
During the summer months we specialise in landscape gardening including garden design and planting up. This is led by Paul Hodgson, former Arboretum Team Leader at Kew Gardens. We can make beautiful features from local and sustainable materials, such as fencing, decking, raised beds and chainsaw sculptures. Call us now for a free initial consultation!
Get paid to heat your house! (or your community centre, church, school, business…)
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is available to householders and organisations installing renewable heating systems. Our logs and woodchip, made in Manchester from Manchester trees, are registered with the Biomass Suppliers List and so can fuel eligible boilers. Please call us for more details. Unfortunately standard stoves are not eligible – unless hey are heating water. The Ofgem website has full details of the domestic andcommercial schemes
